Why Winds
Hello Wind!
Why Winds
Choosing a representation for air was easy for Shareen. Everyone know the feeling of air, the movement of air. We have an understanding of wind! It was easy until she had to write about it, and find visual concepts for it. Suddenly, the winds were a huge challenge, defining something that can only be experienced. A confirmation she had made the perfect choice.
Well blow me down.
The wind is an invisible force that acts upon us from outside ourselves. It can be gentle or it can be furious. Like a breeze it can bring soothing relief or like a tornado, it can be an instrument of destruction. Winds can soothe, can move us, can carry, or it can destroy. No matter its form or function we can flow with it, capture it and utilize it or we can resist it. It is our interactions with the wind inform the results of its force.
Put the wind in your sails.
These cards are concerned with how we respond, taking action, especially when we encounter people, places and energies of the world around us.
Energetically, the Winds carry the urge and longings of the passionate heart, mixing it with our own logic, and discernment to develop strategy, viewing things objectively and acting independently.
These cards signal the ability to move beyond emotional reaction, to taking purposeful clever actions through an invitation to see things from different perspectives and to act with knowledge as well as conviction.
The cards in the suit of Winds invite creative expression, taking ingenious actions, persevering and choosing to define what reality and being realistic means.
