The Roads Revealed Tarot
Has been a decade plus journey of inspiration, exploration, collaboration and now, manifestation.
In 2010 Shareen received a communication, a download. In essence, the tarot as a tool is amazing, but it no longer fully held the experience of humanity. Humanity has evolved. It is time for the tarot to expand and evolve.
Humanity at the time of the first tarot deck was a fairly short life span. If you were lucky you made it to the end of your 40s. In current times, average life span is between 60 and 90, just about twice as long. There are phases of life that we have more room to explore. The major arcana needed space to hold more experience. Likewise, the minor arcana matched the four elements: earth, Air, water and fire. Spirit, and passion of life were held together in the suit of fire. We needed a full fifth suit to show the fullness of spirit, and how it connected to Mind, emotion, action, and the world.
An evolution of the tarot for the 2nd millennium
The Minor Arcana - 65 cards
The minor arcana of tarot: wands, swords, cups, and pentacles represented the elements of Alchemical magics reflected through life. Fire, air, water, and earth. It also reflected aspect of human nature: mind, emotion, expression, and physicality.
Humanity has grown. We embody more and more of our spiritual essence. Humanity across the globe is more connected now than ever before through travel and communication. We needed a full fifth suit to show the fullness of spirit, and how it connects to mind, emotion, expression, and the world. Taking the original elements plus spirit, and giving them movement, more action, and symbols recognized in this age, we have chosen these suits to be Lightning (fire /wands), Wind (air/swords), Rivers (water/cups), Mountains (earth/pentacles) and Trees (Spirit/alchemy).
The Major Arcana - 36 cards…+ 1
Humanity at the time of the first tarot deck had a fairly short life span. If you were lucky you made it to the end of your 40s. In current times, the average life span is between 60 and 90, just about twice as long. There are phases of life that we have more room to explore. The major arcana needed space to hold more experience.
Shareen originally was just going to add more cards onto the original major 22, but the more she meditated and focused on the vibrations wanting to be expressed, the more she realized it wasn’t just about adding. It really was about expanding, making spaces between cards, and revealing the changes. That was scary. That means capturing all the original existing vibrations in a new way, reorganizing them and adding the cards.
